Kathleen Hayes is the former editor of Highlights High Five and Highlights Hello. Before joining the staff at Highlights for Children, she was on the faculty of Bank Street College of Education, teaching 4 and 5 year olds, graduate students, and mentoring classroom teachers. She is now an early childhood educational consultant, working with companies and programs in the U.S., Eastern Europe and Central Asia and most recently, in Africa, providing support to a program working with child care providers in the informal settlements of Nairobi.
